eBrochure shortlisted
June 2009
London-based NSCC (National Specialist Contractors Council), a long-standing client of Switch, has been short-listed for the Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards. NSCC is a finalist in the ‘Electronic Communication’ category for its e-brochure ‘Introducing the Builder’s Profile’, which promotes an industry-wide solution to the problem of pre-qualification.
Developed in partnership with Switch Design, ‘Introducing the Builder’s Profile’ has been well received by both NSCC members and the wider industry and this is recognised by its inclusion on the TAF short list.
Switch first worked with NSCC in 2005 on the design and implementation of their corporate identity programme. Subsequent projects have addressed the organisation’s websites, microsites, literature and membership materials, as well as bespoke database design and programming.
Richard Pope, Founding Partner at Switch says: “NSCC has worked tirelessly to establish a communication programme which relies less and less on paper and print. Their approach was logical and the resulting initiative was carefully planned. NSCC’s short listing for a TAF award is testimony to their hard work and innovative approach and we’re proud to be considered an important part of their team.” Jon Hurley, Head of Digital at Switch continues: “NSCC’s website stats have shown a marked increase in users viewing and downloading the range of materials that traditionally would have been printed and posted by the client. The resultant cost savings and efficiency gains for NSCC have been considerable and it’s great to see their efforts being recognised.”
Suzannah Nichol MBE, NSCC Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to be a finalist in the TAF Awards again this year with our e-brochure, ‘Introducing the Builder’s Profile’. The e-brochure designed by Switch provides an effective way of communicating information direct to the desktops of over 7,000 NSCC Specialist Contractors. It has been a hit with businesses of all sizes and dramatically increased awareness of the Builder’s Profile as the solution to the long-standing problem of pre-qualification in the construction industry.”
