Drain Center
Drain Center is a leading UK supplier of drainage products and part of the Wolseley UK group of companies.
Commissioned in May 2009, the Drain Center website went live in September 2009 and is the first of a number of websites Switch has been commissioned to develop for Wolseley. Wolseley are in the process of rationalising group website systems and the new Drain Center site is the first in the group to be launched with a new look and feel.
Andrew Wishart, Client Services Director at Switch says: “The brief was to update and invigorate the website for a well established UK trade brand and to help generate greater footfall across Drain Center’s 90 plus branches nationwide. The site now features a more customer friendly interface offering the user a choice of more intuitive and visual ways of identifying the products they require and, most importantly, showing how to buy those products.”
Jon Hurley, Head of Digital at Switch commented: “The design solution we put forward had to be delivered on budget and within the parameters of their current back-end systems. Another prime requirement of the brief was for the client to have complete control over updating and managing the content themselves, a pre-requisite for many of the sites we are now building. Our bespoke CMS was perfectly suited to the job.”
