Switch provides E.ON with sweet FA
The sponsorship of The FA Cup is a major initiative for E.ON and builds on their long standing heritage in sports involvement across the UK. With so many communication initiatives and exercises inherent with such a massive sponsorship initiative, it was always going to be a challenge for the E.ON sponsorship team to keep major stakeholders informed of the customer journey touch points and the brand equity being built through E.ON’s involvement with the FA Cup.
Following a series of explorative sessions Switch Web Design Solutions were commissioned to produce an online presentation which would inform major stakeholders within the business of the customer journey whilst conveying the excitement of E.ON of being involved in the Country’s premier knock-out competition.
Working in conjunction with Arena International (E.ON’s sports sponsorship agency) Switch Web Design Solutions were tasked with delivering the presentation first week back after the Christmas break. No mean feat given the brief was agreed the week before the Christmas break!
Marie Golby, Sponsorship Executive at E.ON commented, “Given the time constraints we as a team were under we felt the prospect of death by Powerpoint upon us! An interactive presentation delivered directly to the stakeholders’ desktops via our own intranet within 2 weeks seemed an impossible dream but Switch made it happen. We now have a solution which is capable of delivering the story of our FA Cup sponsorship to every one of our 14,000 employees with clarity and excitement.
New Media Business Manager at Switch, Warren Drumm, continues, “Pinch me…it was the dream project! A client who we’ve worked with for 17 years becomes the sponsor of the FA Cup. Time is of the essence and they need someone who can deliver a robust solution which conveys complicated information within an exciting and stimulating interactive environment. It had to be on-brand and delivered on-time. We were delighted to have made it happen for E.ON.”
